Join us at Farmington Greenhouse for a special story time and hands-on activity celebrating butterflies and nature! We’re excited to welcome local author, Allison O'Neill, for a reading of her children’s book, Today is a Butterfly Day, a sweet and engaging story that encourages a positive mindset and is perfect for young listeners.

After the reading, kids will create their very own Butterfly Snack Pot by planting a pollinator-friendly flower that helps support butterflies. This simple, hands-on activity connects the story to the real world and gives children a plant they can take home, care for, and watch grow.

Recommended for ages: 4–10 (Parent or guardian must be present.)
Cost for butterfly pot: $5 per child (paid for the day of the event)
